Product Information Manager

Job Description The Product Information Manager will partner on a global basis with Thomson Linear (an Altra company) stakeholders, IT staff and external service providers to cultivate and maintain a product information management solution to fuel revenue-producing applications and internal productivity improvements.  Areas of responsibility will include oversight of system architecture, data taxonomies, governance and quality, workflows, and sustaining activities.  This is a great opportunity for a highly collaborative leader looking for a role of high impact.  The PIM supports the Thomson Linear team directly and can be based in either Wood Dale, IL or Radford, VA. Responsibilities: In close partnership with the Director of Marketing Communications and Manager of Software Development, take ownership of an existing product information management system which currently features the Stibo Step PIM integrated with customer applications, Open Text CMS, Oracle ERP & iStore, and customer data systems. Supervise and/or collaborate with internal and external resources as appropriate to promote product information management as a strategic asset to drive top line growth and productivity management. Share ownership with the marketing team for gaining intimacy with Thomson customer needs for information in addition to serving data needs required for commercialization projects Create and manage product data taxonomies, database integrations, calculated attributes, business rules, related processes and corresponding outputs. Provide strong direction on the quality of product data and collaborate on commercialization efforts to ensure that product data is complete, accurate, in suitable formats and ready for commercialization Develop data quality specifications, procedures, and meaningful metrics to control product data flowing through the PIM database and related product data systems Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support price and lead time management Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather, edit and load product data not already available via database integrations Job Requirements Must have a completed bachelor's degree; engineering, business or IT degrees preferred 3 or more years experience working across multiple disciplines within a manufacturing production and B2B sales/service environment, converting business needs to technical and process requirements 3 or more years experience managing processes heavily reliant on enterprise business database systems, e.g. Oracle EBS, SAP, and SalesForce.com Must have effective leadership skills that can influence and create followership in a global matrix environment Experience locating and managing outside vendors, defining accountabilities and meeting cost and deadline targets Must currently be a permanent resident or US citizen

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
