The Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Recruiter develops innovative and aggressive methods to source, evaluate, and pipeline candidates through various sourcing methods including Internet and database mining, professional networking, proactive headhunting and identifying additional recruiting sources for specialized searches/skill sets. High outbound call volumes, follow up, and high fill rates, are expected in this role.

In addition, the MRO Recruiter builds candidate pools or databases, identifies potential candidates and uses cost-effective sourcing techniques to attract applicants, minimizing the use of external agencies. The MRO Recruiter fosters and cultivates relationships with key candidates and large-scale aviation talent pools to deliver upon both immediate and short-term needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively source passive candidates by conducting market research, utilization of professional relationships and referral networks.
  • Source new talent through various channels including: Internet & Online Research, Social Media & Blogs, Networking, Professional Associations, Alumni, Employee Referrals, Job Boards, Direct Applications and the company ATS (Applicant Tracking System);
  • Provide responsive and proactive service and solution support to Recruiters and candidates via telephone, e-mail, etc.;
  • Create sourcing activity and candidate reports for active searches to be shared with Recruiters and the Hiring teams;
  • Support recruiting team by building and maintaining a pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Work closely with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to build innovative talent sourcing strategies for existing openings across North America;
  • Sit in on new role discussions with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to outline job descriptions and candidate profiles;
  • Advanced skills in problem-solving, decision making and the ability to overcome difficult challenges.

Education and/or ExperienceBA/BS from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of five (5) years progressive recruiting experience.
  • Innovative Talent Acquisition Strategy Experience.
  • Strategic Military Recruitment Experience.
  • Experience with recruiting software tracking systems.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, time management, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Action and detail oriented with a strong drive for results.
  • Team player with strong customer service skills.
  • Must work well independently, be self-motivated, and work effectively in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Exercises strong discretion and judgment in the recruiting of candidates. Understands the impact of recruitment strategies on Company goals and initiatives.
  • Recent experience working with recruiting software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).


  • One (1) year aviation industry experience.
  • Experience with Taleo, ADP, and EV5.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
