Program Manager

SUMMARY:

?

Acts as single point of contact responsible for ensuring the successful standup and execution of all program activities related to AAR?s Pratt & Whitney F117 engine Repair Management Program. Will be the primary daily interface with the client and responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction. Determines overall program support requirements, including internal and external resources and manages all subcontractors and/or vendors. Directs and coordinates program activities designed to ensure effective and economical execution. The Program Manager will coordinate efforts with Defense teams, including, but not limited to, providing focus on reducing costs, meeting commitments, improving customer service, and enhancing the operational efficiency of the teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Reports to the Director of Program Management


  • Responsible for overall management and performance of the contract


  • Serves as the primary customer point for contact for the program


  • Ensures customer and compliance reporting, program management reviews, and associated support functions are completed in compliance with customer and internal requirements and standards


  • Identifies and achieves program cost targets and financial goals


  • Responsible for maintaining program training and safety requirements in compliance with contractual obligations and internal policies and procedures


  • Manages task priorities, short-notice suspense, operational constraints, and other potential impacts to maintain schedule requirements, and assumes total performance responsibility for work performed and data delivered


  • Oversees continuous improvement and standardization plans necessary to achieve program quality, delivery and cost targets


  • Manages program subcontractors to ensure compliant completion of subcontract obligations


  • Anticipates problems and works to proactively mitigate them


  • Ensures tasks are completed within estimated time frames and budget constraints


  • Schedules and assigns duties to direct reports and/or non-direct report resources


  • Anticipates problems related to operational areas and environmental and human factors, and determines contingency requirements and solutions


  • Travel is required


  • All other duties as assigned

  • If direct reports are assigned, Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws


  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

?

Required:



  • Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) or Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from four-year College or university; or ten (10)+ years related experience


  • Minimum of Five (5) years of experience in aerospace logistics or supply chain management programs with exposure to both military and commercial operating environments strongly preferred.


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills


  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)



Desired:



  • Prior experience with military aircraft component repair management programs


  • Experience with C-17 aircraft or engine maintenance



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

?

Must be able to lift and carry boxes and other awkward items weighing up to 50 lbs, including up and down stairs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday. Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
