Sr. Administrator, IT Security

SUMMARY:
Responsible for the smooth daily running and grooming of the corporate network environment and its attached devices from a security perspective.
Documentation, security and analysis of the environment are an integral duty for the Corporate IT Administrator.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor network activity
Manage security incidents- investigate and respond
Manage and monitor security systems
Evaluate and develop approach to solutions
Proactively assesses potential items of risk and opportunities of vulnerability in the network
Support day-to-day administration of various firewalls
Perform network scanning
Perform compliance activities
Maintain internal security website.
Responsible for workstation security and data integrity
Create and modify documentation
Responsible for server security and data integrity.
Responsible for Move-Add-Change (MAC) along with computer equipment work within the corporate and subsidiary facilities.
All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of information security principles and practices.
Installation, configuration, monitoring and response to security system
Understanding of advanced security protocols and standards
Experience with software and security architectures
Experience with security practices of Intranet and Extranet
Technical Knowledge: Microsoft Active Directory, UNIX,, Linux, Encryption, Digital Certificates, SSL, VPN, IPSec, TCP/IP, DNS and web security architecture, SQL, Nmap, Nikto, Nessus, Paros
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Bachelor degree in Information Technology or related field
3 to 5 years of experience in Information Technology or Information Security

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
