Marketing Communications Manager

Fast growing commercially focused dynamic market leader seeks a Marketing Communications Manager, who is looking for a challenge and great advancement opportunities to join our team in Wood Dale, Illinois.
The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for producing on-brand thought leadership content relevant our target audience from our Platform-level perspective. This person will collaborate with members of the Operating Company teams, including Presidents and subject matter experts to develop relevant content strategies and editorial concepts to craft assets that help our target audience to think differently about their own business as well as the manner in which they engage with our Operating Companies and our Platform. It is critical that you are a writer first but a system thinker second, one capable of working with the teams and tools necessary to deliver a content vision at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the Platform's thought leadership development efforts.
o Draft briefs, conduct input sessions and work with internal and external writers to direct thought leadership content efforts according to our messaging strategy.
o Develop and maximize the quality of content produced by a creative network: writers, designers, video creators.
o Provide feedback, guidance and creative review of content, managing multiple projects and resources simultaneously.
o Ensure thought leadership is engaging, timely, supports our Platform's Unique Selling Points and delivers value to target audience.
o Ensure all material is developed in line with corporate design guidelines and core messages are consistently reinforced.
Work closely with online and print publications, trade associations, and PR professionals to publish and promote finished articles and other thought leadership assets to meet our calendar and exposure objectives.
Support the flow of thought leadership into the Platform's Operating Companies.
o Partner with Operating Companies to incorporate thought leadership content into their marketing mix
o Share execution best practices
Report monthly on content performance and learnings.
Key Competencies:
Superior written, verbal and editorial communication, previous publication experience (inclusive of ghostwriting) a plus.
Team player, who is eager to contribute to a high-energy stakeholder team. Capable of slowing down to achieve thoughtful insight and speeding up to meet a publishing deadline.
Ability to think holistically about discourse and put self in mind of the audience.
Strong interpersonal skills and eager to work across all departments even when that means venturing outside comfort zone.
Flexibility and autonomous working style, ability to prioritize while maintaining flexibility.
High intellect: Ability to generate high impact targeted set of materials and campaigns is critical to the role to be successful.
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism or other related field
Demonstrate 3-5 years of content creation experience in a B2B environment
Demonstrate understanding of messaging for diverse markets and geographies
Industry experience in packaging, FMCG brands, technology or related sectors is a huge plus
Solid leadership to cut across functions; respected by internal and external parties
Independent and self-directed; can work autonomously
Strong PC / internet / MS Office knowledge

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
