1 Wood Dale, IL Wood Dale, IL Full-time Full-time $23 - $25 an hour $23 - $25 an hour Maintenance Associate - 2nd shift (Entry Level) Position Overview In this role, the Maintenance Associate is responsible for assistance with various maintenance related tasks within out high speed / high volume cold heading manufacturing facility, as part of a hands-on training plan to grow into a highly skilled maintenance technician.
This is a_ 2nd shift position with the hours of_ 4pm-2:
30am, Monday - Friday, with the potential of working OT and weekends as needed.
Main Responsibilities Assist with mechanical troubleshooting and repairs of cold heading, thread rolling, and other production and support equipment.
Assist with fabrication of parts using mills, lathes, grinders, and other equipment.
Assist with preventive maintenance tasks.
Assist with building maintenance and repair tasks.
Complete maintenance reports and other documentation Maintain inventory of in-house replacement parts for building, machines, and equipment.
Assist with machinery installations and start-up activities.
Communicate all problems and other work-related issues with supervisor.
Comply with all company policies and procedures including safety and attendance requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Key Competencies The ideal candidate must have the following competencies:
Communication Skills, bother verbal and written.
Working as part of a team Problem solving Skills and Qualifications High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
1-2 years of maintenance mechanic experience in an industrial environment.
Ability to weld and fabricate preferred.
Basic understanding of electrical components and circuits Ability to read, understand and maintain records as required.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to read and understand complex drawings and instructions.
Ability to lift to 30 lbs.
